We employ a full-time Safety Officer as part of our flight crew dedicated to maintaining our safety culture first and foremost.
AirSmart pilots have logged over 50,000 flight hours and flown over 10,000 passengers in our PC-12 and PC-24 fleet.
AirSmart has a mature SMS (Safety Management System) that has been in place since 2005. SMS is a structured process that obligates us to manage our safety process as defined by the FAA and continually implement and improve upon strategies. We use SMS Pro Management Tool consisting of standards recognized by the FAA, ICAO, EASA, IATA and IS-BAO requirements. AirSmart’s SMS program establishes a safety culture, provides compliance with standards, codes, regulations and laws, includes hazard identification and risk analysis, safeguards our asset integrity and reliability, engages management and includes measurement and metrics for safety awareness.
The Pilatus’ line of aircraft utilizes one of the world’s most cutting-edge multi-function display avionics suites–the Honeywell ACE (Advanced Cockpit Environment) Avionics Suite. Our fleet employs these state-of-the-art avionics systems offering that of a high-end business jet and includes autopilot for optimized stability, SmartView synthetic vision with performance-based HUD symbology, traffic collision and terrain avoidance system. The Pilatus aircraft are efficiently and intuitively designed and certified for single-pilot operations, even though we most often fly with two pilots. The cockpit has been designed to reduce workload and improve safety while providing full situational awareness under all circumstances.
